In my last blog post, I said the changes to Where Witches Hunt, my no spice romantasy novel releasing in October, would not be substantial. Boy, was I wrong. The second half of the book is getting an entire rewrite.
When I began working on the book again, I noticed something that didn't make sense. A part of the plot. It just stuck out like a sore thumb. I have no idea how it was missed before. This book has gone through several rounds of edits, and there was a HUGE, dangling plot thread that was not tied up. So, in order to neatly tie all the loose ends, I'm having to rewrite close to 40,000 words. Some of the text I can keep, but characters are being removed, magic is being deleted and replaced with even more magic, and the list goes on.
On the plus side, this gives my two main characters more time to spend together as their relationship grows. So there's that! I'm still on track for an October 30th release. I hope.
